How a flight with Beaune Montgolfière works
To book your flight, all you have to do is select the ticket you require on the Our fares page and follow the instructions. On receipt of your payment, we will send you your flight tickets.
On receipt of your ticket, please contact us so that we can include you in our schedule.
No special physical condition is required for a balloon ascent. You simply need to be able to stand up for 1 hour and be able to get in and out of the basket. If necessary, our team will be on hand to support you.
24 to 48 hours before the scheduled date, we will contact you by telephone to confirm the flight or not, depending on the latest weather forecast. We'll also let you know the exact time and place of the appointment.
Dress comfortably, with pants and closed shoes (as for a hike). The temperature on board the balloon will be 10 to 15°C higher than in the surrounding air. Don't forget your cameras!
Please contact us as soon as possible if any unforeseen circumstances prevent the climb from taking place.
A hot-air balloon flight depends on the weather. We can fly all year round, but the best season is from March to October.
For safety reasons, we may cancel your balloon flight, in which case nothing is lost! We will postpone your ascent and arrange a new date according to our respective availabilities.
To ensure the necessary weather conditions - a stable atmosphere and calm winds - the climbs take place either early in the morning or in the evening, so it's up to you whether you prefer sunrise or sunset.
No, you can't feel the sensation of vertigo when flying in a hot-air balloon, because you're not connected to the ground.
During your ascent, you can discover Beaune, its surroundings, the coast and the wine villages. There's no predefined route; the balloon is simply pushed by the winds.
